This is so important. According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), individuals should have at least two appointments each year with their diabetes doctor for a check up. This increases to four times per year if a person’s A1c is not at goal. But how are you supposed to remember your appointments, along with everything else going on in your life? Choose a friend, family member, coworker, really anyone to be a go-to whenever you are feeling like you need a pick-me-up. Some may even consider seeing a counselor or therapist. Let’s face it, having someone to talk to can help tremendously in relieving stress and aiding with self-care.
